Living Boundryless … Journey of 1000 miles begins with that first goal!!

Have you ever wondered if  the goals you set are Realistic?

I’ll share a story told to me recently…

When I was a young kid I was a passionate New York Yankee’s fan. It was the days of Mantle & Maris, Boyer, Richardson, Moose, and Yogi. Not the Majarishi Yogi, but the most famous Yogi of them all, Yogi Berra. Yogi was a Hall of Fame catcher, and an inspiration to me as a Little League player. In addition to his credentials as a ball player, Yogi became even more famous for some of the things he said.

One of my favorite Yogi sayings goes like this, ‘If you don’t know where you’re going, you’re likely to end up somewhere else.’

I’ve been to a few sales seminars in my time, and there was always time devoted to setting goals. Even now I can hear the speakers, ‘Write all your goals down, everything you want to do in the next forty years, and then?..

‘ Let’s back up a little and make this a little easier. Let’s lighten the load a bit. Let’s start with (a) goal. One goal. We’re not going to climb Mt. Everest tomorrow. Let’s try, for instance, getting to work a little early, walking in the door, being relaxed, giving your co-workers a genuine smile.

That’s realistic. Its one goal. That’s all for today. Git ‘er done!

So we have a realistic goal that can be accomplished. While finishing up on that goal ….don’t stop…

Set another goal!  Get that done.

One goal at a time/one goal per day. In a week or two, you’ll be surprised at the changes you have made.

When you have come this far, you can up the ante a little bit more.

But remember let that new goal build upon your previous ones.

A teacher once told me, “Success is where Preparation joins with Opportunity.”

Another great part of successfully reaching goals is patting yourself on the back for what you’ve  accomplished.

In summary…

Here’s 5 easy tips to help set your goals more effectively.

1. Make them simple and measurable: Your goal should be simple enough to easily remember throughout the day. Simplicity and specificity can sometimes be opposites, so keep a balance between saying too much and saying too little.

At the very least, your goal should say what you are trying to accomplish and why. The “why” of your goal should be something easily measurable, feel, to give it power!

2. Write it down and share with others: Once you have a goal that is specific and measurable, write it down. Tell others about it and this will help you get it out there. Post your written goals somewhere where you’ll easily see them again. Like a bathroom mirror makes a good place. This will help remind you at regular intervals to rededicate to your plan by seeing it clearly, saying it aloud, then going out to make it Real!

Telling other people is the first step in moving your goal beyond something that exists in your mind only. Move them outside of your mind by sharing them. Have your friends and family members follow up with you from time to time. Just knowing that they will ask about your goal will help you to keep the motivation you need.

3. Think about your goals throughout the day: Think about your goals whenever you can. When you keep your goals at the forefront of your mind, inspiration and meaning will flow through you. Certain experiences that occur during your day will bring new meaning .. new Life and new direction to your goals. Ideas may even come to you unexpectedly.  The parts of your day that are usually boring will become opportunities to plan and strategize.

Remember, each present moment is just that a “Present” a Gift within that moment. It’s up to you to choose to tap into it then give vitality to your goals.

Even the busiest people should have the short time it takes to do this. The simple act of thinking is something that we can do literally anywhere. Some of the best times to think will be in the restroom or the shower, on your way to work in the car, waiting in line at lunch time, or as you fall asleep at night. With time, you will even begin to think about your goals in your sleep!

4. Set goals that you can achieve: If you achieve your goals 100% of the time, then you are not setting your goals high enough… right? Wrong. Your goal should be something that you can certainly achieve if you follow through. The reason we often miss the mark for our goals is that we set the wrong kind of goal. We set a goal to have a certain outcome. Try setting a performance-based goal instead of a goal that focuses on a certain outcome… the outcome is still very important, but this shifts the focus to the actions that you should be taking.

5. Create a plan to achieve your goals:  Like the saying goes: Fail to plan then Plan to fail. Without a plan, you are unfocused. Like going someplace completely new without a map or guide.

Remember your thoughts …your Attitude can give your goals great energy..Great clarity you can see …Visualize!

Next in making them more real, Verbalize them.. saying ….hearing gives them feeling….substance

Then Actualize them…. Take the steps … Remembering: The Journey of 1000 miles begins with that very first step!”

A friend once told me, “If you have a strong enough “Why” (reason) you’ll figure out the “How”.

Now just like a snow ball that starts at the top of the mountain, build upon each successful step – goal, build that momentum, build a ….

Mindfully… Moment to moment … Day to day…. Visualize – Personalize – Actualize …

Living Boundryless is all in the Attitude!!

Wouild like to share a story then hear your thoughts.

Jerry was always a in a good mood and saying, “Things just couldn’t be better!”

One day, I asked him, “I don’t get it! How do you stay positive all the time?”

Jerry replied smiling, “Every morning I wake up telling myself, ‘Jerry, you can dhoose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.’ I choose to be in a good mood. Each something bad happens, it’s me who can choose to let it drag me down, feeling like a victim, or instead, I can choose to learn from it. I always choose to learn from it.

“Yeah, sure, but it can’t always be that easy, can it?”, I asked doubtfully.

Several years later, I heard again that Jerry had did something really dangerous in his restaurant: he had forgotten to lock the back door, and was robbed by a group of armed robbers. While trying to open his safe, he was so nervous, that his hand accidentlly slipped off the lock. One robber panicked shooting him. Fortunately, the robbers then fled, so later Jerry was found and rushed to the near-by hospital emergency room.  The doctors operated on him for over eighteen hours before finishing, still unable to retrieve all the bullet fragments.

About six months later, when I bumped into Jerry, I asked him how he was now?

He replied, “Things just couldn’t be better!  Want to see the scars from the surgery?”

Replying, “Thanks, but no thanks, I then asked him what he had been thinking about as they were robbing him?”  He replied, “I should have locked that back door was the first thing that popped into my mind.” Jerry said, “Then later while lying on the floor shot, I told myself…I’ve got just two choices… I could choose to live, or choose to give up. I chose to Live!!!”

“But weren’t you scared man? Did you lose consciousness?” I asked Jerry.

Jerry then continued, “No, I didn’t, I could hear the paramedics around me, but what really scared me was the look on all their faces. In their eyes I saw the look of … He’s a goner … He’s not going to live till we get him to the hospital.”

“Geez, Jerry, what did you do then?” I asked him.

“Well one nurse who was shouting at me asked if I was allergic to anything. ‘Yes,’ I replied.  Suddenly, everyone around me stopped to hear me. Then after taking a slow deep breath yelled, ‘Bullets!’ While everyone was laughing, I told them, ‘I have chosen to live. Don’t operate on me as if I were dead and lost cause!”

Well, Jerry lived – thanks in a large part to the skillful doctors and nurses, but most of all cause of his amazing attitude.

During an extremely challenging time when he could have chosen to just give up, to quit, he Chose to not give up, not quit, instead … to Live!!!

We may not face as big a challenge as Jerry did, or maybe in its own way our challenge will feel just as big, as scary, as real.

But please remember… it is our Attitude that carries us beyond the boundries of this life.

So chose to Live Boundrylessly …. chose an attitude of …

I will learn, I will grow, I will rise above this challenge …to live… BOUNDRYLESSLY!!!


Boundryless Living through Momentum!!

Have you ever wondered how some people seem to succeed so effortlessly.

Why do “they” have all the luck. Perhaps it’s not all luck.

One of my teachers once said, “Think of luck, success like this….

Success or luck is where Preparation meets Opportunity.

Personal success, be it physical, financial, intellectual, or even spiritual, all begins with perception of  potential. Striving to cultivate fearlessness through recognizing the reality of challenges, where things don’t always go the way you had hoped or planned they would. 

Do you give up in frustration ….No Way!!

Thinking ….Living Boundrylessly is not about giving up…it’s about Living to your potential …and Beyond!!!

Living Boundrylessly is about learning to generate positively the results needed in our lives through a Momentum of Accomplishment (Successes interlinked or interwoven)!!

Similar to a snow ball growing bigger, getting faster as it rolls down hill.  So should our accomolishments also grow.

Over the next few weeks will be talking more about this, how to do this, even why.

Along the way, your comments are welcome,  ideas too.

Be Boundryless…take Responsibility for what is around you!

One time a teacher told me that each day we should examine our choices.

You may ask why. Let me give you some examples.

If you find your days are being filled with encounters that feel negative…

then for some reason you have CHOSE to live around negative people.

If you find your days are being filled with negative events or occurrences …

then for some reason you have CHOSE to live in negative surroundings.

If you find your days are being filled with negative actions …

then for some reason you have CHOSE to live with negative occupations.

Who has the power to change all that…the answer is simply three letters … You!

It is you who has the responsibility to chose the influences in your life.

As my teacher once said, “Make the choice to make a choice.”

Upon awakening each day, remember…

You have the power to chose the day you will have..

Chose to Live it …  Boundryless!!

Living Mindfully or … so What are you Thinking!?

When your eyes first opened this morning, what were you thinking.

Well, it’s usually  one of two options. Most people who’ve read and studied self- help have never heard about this very first WAY to keep your mind focused and centered on the positive. In fact, many people wrongfully assume they are ‘positive’ – yet can never figure out why they have so much trouble manifesting their heart’s desire.

Maybe, just maybe, their unconscious programming is overriding their heart’s desire. You’ll know which is which when you become aware of which thought you’re having first thing in the morning. Now, just so that you know, your first thought is NOT about what you’re going to do today. It’s not about how much m-oney you have – or want to have. it’s not about your body, your mind or anything else. Your first thought is something that plays as background music in your brain every time you wake up – and the most amazing fact about this ‘music’ is you’re probably not even aware of what it is. You will be from this day forward when you read and devour and utilize the principles of Mindfull Living.

Be 100% in the moment, utilizing past experiences, while being open to the potential the future holds.

Enjoy Mindfully Living a Boundryless Life!!!

Being Boundryless is about …not just sitting there!

It’s not often discussed. Yet is a major key
to developing your mental and spiritual

Most students of success have trouble getting
results because they are physically lazy. They
want to just sit there and visualize. Or say
positive affirmations. Or write their goals in
a notebook. Or listen to peaceful music. Or
do a series of chants or prayers.

All of the above are good.

But what about doing something physical.

The human being needs to blow off steam
on a regular basis to feel good. Whether it’s
punching a bag, going for a walk, swimming,
cycling or practicing martial arts – a physical
release does more than relax you physically.

It puts you back together.

It doesn’t just give you a balance of body, mind
and spirit. It gives you all three – wrapped up in
one – as one.

An elite martial artist, or anyone who is highly skilled in their field usually doesn’t think ….

body, mind, spirit. He or she may talk in these terms to make what
is being said understandable to those who aren’t
integrated. But in reality he or she is talking about all
three in unison, whenever talking about one.

From time to time I like to shoot free throws to
observe this process in action in an area where
I’m no expert. I find it amazing when I sink one
after another – as well as when I miss several in
a row.

What’s the difference.

When I’m successful, I am fully connected to the
ball and basket. When I’m not, mind, body and
spirit are scattered throughout the gym.

Do something physical each day, then you’ll notice your ability
to breathe, visualize and manifest creatively will go off the

Remember,  being Boundryless is about being connected…. to life, family, nature, all around us, more and more each day.

Enjoying a Boundryless Love Family

Family, what do you think of when hearing that word. For it’s far more than a word.

Our family, our roots, can be an anchor in our lives.

Someone once said that as a potter shapes clay to create something beautiful from something so ordinary.

To see the potential within that clay, is what a family does for us. It’s about that beautiful creation that  strong bonds of a family create, along with good values. Family bonds are the string that connects us to our beginning as well as a guide to our future. These early influences are so fundamental to our individual development.

Everyone wants to “belong”, to feel accepted. This sense of belonging is derived from a strong family bond. Family is where our roots take hold and grow too.

A close family bond is like the proverbial light house in our lives, a safe harbor to go to. It is this light, this family bond, centered on God, that can provide the very elements we need to grow as a person, in heart, spirit, and in love.

A true boundryless family is centered on love. Such a powerful four letter word that has it’s roots in a heart of giving, living, for the sake of others. This is how a parent unconditionally loves their child, regardless of talent or appearance.  However it is also through centering on love that creates inseparable bonds forever.

Just think about that special bond, that very powerful four letter word called “Love” drawing upon it whenever you need it.

Remember though to nurture it, and just like a plant tended by a gardener, your garden of love will be your family, your spouse, growing ever more beautiful, precious, radiant….as you enjoy a Boundryless Marriage centered on LOVE!

Enjoying a Boundryless Marriage

Hello everyone,

Think a moment about what is most precious to you.

It probably won’t take long to think of your significant other…your spouse!

Would like to share some ways to enjoy a boundryless marriage.

Today, call your spouse to let them know you’re thinking about them.

Take time everyday to let your spouse know how much you appreciate and love them.

If we live for the other, think about how amazing each day will be.

As couples we often speak of our “better half.” Indeed, woman fulfills the purpose of love for man, and man for woman.

Spend some quiet time together, even if not talking, just share the moment together as one!

The first characteristic of true love is that it originates in God, who created for the experience of love. When God created us, He invested one hundred percent of everything He had. The act of living for others means that you give one hundred percent of yourself until there is nothing left to give. Only then will the love of your object (focus)  rush back to fill the void.

Further, true love is the love you give and then forget. If you consciously remember what you have given, you will begin to calculate how much giving is enough. If you decide that you have given enough, then love cannot continue eternally.

Love flows perpetually only if it is given unconditionally.

Some suggestions are :

Achieving true love in our marriage, and building a family of such love, is the central purpose of one’s life.

Marriage is therefore an event of enormous importance for each person having eternal significance. Not just in

helping us complete each other, though very important, but it’s what’s created from this “Heaven on earth” love that is so vitally important. Through this a couple can truly enjoy a boundryless loving marriage each and every day.

So enjoy even the challenges as an opportunity to learn , grow, love ever more completely while making that Boundryless Heaven on Earth love as one!!

Simple Daily Health tips

First is an easy one everyone.  Drink water, especially with lemon in it, refreshes the body like no other drink can. Remember to sip some water throughout the day. Be careful drinking too many cold beverages as they interfere with digestion. Also as I heard a doctor say once, ” We (humans) are the only ones who make our stomach a refrigerator.” Something to think about.

Below is a  good guide provided by The Institute of Medicine:

that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages (preferably caffeine free as those drinks actually take more water out of our body making you thirstier)  a day.

Since most parts of your body are made up of water it’s essential to keep hydrated and flush out toxins by drinking enough water. A regular exercise regimen is also a very important factor or tip to keep your body in shape and energetic. There are various types of physical exercises which bring about strength and generate flexibility in the body. One should eat a balance of fresh (in season) fruits and vegetables. It keeps your body healthy. An easy way to start is try to include some fruits and/or vegetables with each meal.

Let’s not forget that our body also needs to relax. One way is through an afternoon (10 to 30 minutes) help your mind and body relax from the hectic busy day.  Your body and mind recharge when you sleep, so it’s important to sleep at least six hours at night. To do this set aside 15 to 30 minutes for some quiet time to unclutter your mind from the day. It is even a good idea to write down your thoughts to aid in doing this easier.

Relaxing also releases tension, built up energy from the day. As you enjoy your quiet time, acknowledge the tension, realizing perhaps sometime in your day you needed that energy to help you accomplish a task. However, now let go of it, just like when you finish using your computer you safe and file your work then turn it off. A good way to do this is play soothing music, read something relaxing. Now is your time to enjoy peace of mind as well as body.

Your mind, body, and loved ones will also reap the benefit of your health too, as you share these with them!
