Simple Daily Health tips

First is an easy one everyone.  Drink water, especially with lemon in it, refreshes the body like no other drink can. Remember to sip some water throughout the day. Be careful drinking too many cold beverages as they interfere with digestion. Also as I heard a doctor say once, ” We (humans) are the only ones who make our stomach a refrigerator.” Something to think about.

Below is a  good guide provided by The Institute of Medicine:

that men consume roughly 3 liters (about 13 cups) of total beverages a day and women consume 2.2 liters (about 9 cups) of total beverages (preferably caffeine free as those drinks actually take more water out of our body making you thirstier)  a day.

Since most parts of your body are made up of water it’s essential to keep hydrated and flush out toxins by drinking enough water. A regular exercise regimen is also a very important factor or tip to keep your body in shape and energetic. There are various types of physical exercises which bring about strength and generate flexibility in the body. One should eat a balance of fresh (in season) fruits and vegetables. It keeps your body healthy. An easy way to start is try to include some fruits and/or vegetables with each meal.

Let’s not forget that our body also needs to relax. One way is through an afternoon (10 to 30 minutes) help your mind and body relax from the hectic busy day.  Your body and mind recharge when you sleep, so it’s important to sleep at least six hours at night. To do this set aside 15 to 30 minutes for some quiet time to unclutter your mind from the day. It is even a good idea to write down your thoughts to aid in doing this easier.

Relaxing also releases tension, built up energy from the day. As you enjoy your quiet time, acknowledge the tension, realizing perhaps sometime in your day you needed that energy to help you accomplish a task. However, now let go of it, just like when you finish using your computer you safe and file your work then turn it off. A good way to do this is play soothing music, read something relaxing. Now is your time to enjoy peace of mind as well as body.

Your mind, body, and loved ones will also reap the benefit of your health too, as you share these with them!
